About LFCDS

Lake Forest Country Day School (LFCDS) fosters a collaborative, student-centered, and community-driven organizational culture. As an intern there, I’ve been working on the development of an interactive platform that enhances data-driven decision-making for instructors, helping them better understand student progress, identify at-risk students, and tailor their teaching strategies—directly aligning with LFCDS’s mission to nurture a love of learning and prepare students to navigate their paths with purpose.

Intern experience

Aim: Create an interactive platform at the disposal of staff members to make inform decisions for a better learning experience for students.

Action Plan:

• Developed and enhanced interactive data visualization tools using R and Shiny to analyze MAP assessment data, to support data-driven decision-making while improving user experience and functionality.

• Collaborated with stakeholders and other interns to refine UI design, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure accurate representation of academic growth metrics.

• Designed and implemented data acquisition and analysis strategies to support the IT Department and other teams.
